Senior Application Specialist – Dairy & Ice-Cream

Do you have an in-depth understanding of how food ingredients work, and can you drive an ambitious sales agenda and deliver specialist expertise at the same time? If so, you may be our new Senior Application Specialist.
You will become part of the Dairy & Ice cream team in the Application department and will have a customer facing specialist role. You will, on the technical side together with the commercial side in Sales, help to grow the opportunity pipeline and develop the portfolio of customer projects.
You will become part of a highly qualified application team of dedicated colleagues who love to put their specialist knowledge into action every day and invent new standards for the future within the areas of confectionary, lipid, bakery, and dairy & ice cream.
You will report directly to our Regional Application Manager, Theng Theng Sim. The position is located in Singapore with approximately 20-40 inspiring travel days a year.
Furthermore, your responsibilities will include:
- Together with sales you develop the opportunity pipeline and the project portfolio.
- Handle customer projects and visits independently or in cooperation with Sales.
- Design and conclude on tests.
- You seek to create the best possible solution, and you present the solution to the customers.
- Continuously increase the knowledge-level within dairy & ice cream to ensure the competitiveness of Palsgaard.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing and assist with technical knowledge to colleagues all around the globe.
- Training and education of customers and colleagues in dairy & ice cream.
What do you need to apply?
Preferable, you have some years of experience with application work, innovative processes, and product development - preferably within the dairy & ice cream area. You have a technical background within the food industry/chemistry for example a MSc degree in Food and Nutrition, Food or Dairy Engineer or similar.
You are very good at communicating at multiple levels and has the ability to translate complex data into useful information for the end-user. Additionally, you have a thorough and analytical way of working and are good at building transparent and trustworthy relationships.
As you will be one of the experts within the area of dairy & ice cream, it is vital that you can keep up to date on the most recent trends and guidelines on the area to support your arguments and guide colleagues and customers around the world. We will, of course, make sure to give you a thorough onboarding as well as the necessary training to ensure continuing professional development.
As we work within a global scope, excellent communication skills both in written and spoken English is required.
