At Palsgaard, we have set out on an ambitious growth journey to double our production capacity over the next couple of years. Part of that journey is to rethink our global business processes and how we use data to create more valuable insights and reports. We have started implementing a global ERP platform, Dynamics 365FO, and as part of this, extensive global reports become even more crucial to the business.

As our new BI consultant, you will be responsible for developing solutions to our existing Microsoft Azure cloud-based data platform and building value-added Power BI reports to ambitious colleagues around the world.

You will be part of our highly qualified, global IT team of 16 dedicated IT professionals. You will report to Martin Nordestgaard, Team Leader for Global BI and Data Platform. The team currently consists of 2 colleagues. The position is placed at our headquarter in Juelsminde (DK) where you will experience a flexible workday, including the opportunity to work from home.

Responsibilities:

• Further develop and maintain our cloud-based data warehouse.
• Develop Power BI reports in cooperation with our Finance Business Partners and the existing BI team.
• Improve and structure reports based on the principles of storytelling (Strategic -> Analytical -> Informative/Operational).
• Delivering high quality analytical solutions after best practices and our governance in BI-development, data modelling and report design.
  

What do you need to apply?

Our ideal candidate holds a BI background such as for example a cand.merc.BI or equivalent with proven experience in a global company or as a consultant.

• Technical skills
  • Advanced: Azure SQL DB and T-SQL, Azure Data Factory, analytical data modelling (star schema) and Power BI.
  • Basic: Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps.
• Basic understanding of ERP-systems and production companies.

As a person, you are a self-starter with a curious and analytical mindset and a constant focus on making progress to deliver a valuable product. As you will be working primarily with internal stakeholders on a variety of reports, you have great interpersonal skills and are able to communicate complex matters on multiple levels.

Additionally, you have a structured way of working, are good at critical thinking and therefore able to troubleshoot systematically.

As we work within a global scope, excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Danish are required.
