How we hire
-
Application process
At Palsgaard, a thorough and professional recruitment and onboarding process is essential to us.
You apply or connect with us through our career site, and if your profile matches one of our open positions, we will contact you for a personal interview. Here you will meet the hiring manager and maybe some future colleagues to discuss the position and potential fit between Palsgaard as a workplace, your profile and expectations. For us, it is important that you see as much value in being employed at Palsgaard as we see in having you on the team – we believe this creates the best and longest-lasting relationships.
-
Interview process
If both parties see a match, we will contact you for a second interview, where you will meet the hiring manager again and a colleague from HR. Before this interview, you will be asked to fill in a behavioural analysis (DISC), and in some job categories, an additional test (GIA) featuring numerical, logical and verbal skills, which we will go through during the interview. Sometimes, you will also be asked to prepare a case.
The selection of candidates is always based on the overall assessment of your motivation for the job, the interviews, your personality, professional qualifications and the need of the department.
Finally, as part of the process, we request references from former employers before presenting a concrete job offer.
-
Our onboarding process
Once you have accepted our job offer, and the contract and starting date have been agreed on, we’ll put everything in place to commence your onboarding so you can get started.
To ensure the best possible start-up, you will receive an onboarding programme where the first 1-3 weeks are arranged so you know what to expect. Furthermore, you will be assigned a mentor/buddy on your first workday. Your mentor/buddy will be a colleague from the department, who is responsible for ensuring that you're supported during your start-up in relation to your work assignments, Palsgaard’s strategy, culture, and various systems etc.
If you have any questions along the way, you are always welcome to contact our HR department at +457682 7682.
About Palsgaard
At Palsgaard, we specialise in plant-based food emulsifiers, a field we've led for over 100 years. Our small yet crucial role in delivering delicious foods extends to non-food markets such as polymers and personal care.
A century of expertise
Since our founder Einar Viggo Schou invented the plant-based emulsifier in 1917, we've driven innovation through our seven global application centres.
Our food technology experts are dedicated to using our understanding of emulsifiers to drive constant innovation and empower the international food industry to explore new trends.
Nexus, our R&D sister company, advances emulsifier technology with significant scientific freedom, ensuring innovative solutions for Palsgaard's diverse applications.
Impactful emulsifiers
Emulsifiers blend incompatible ingredients like water, oil, and air, significantly enhancing product quality. They enable stable emulsions, prevent oil separation, and control aeration and viscosity in bakery, confectionery, dairy, ice cream, margarine, and plant-based foods. Combined with stabilisers, they improve texture, mouthfeel, and shelf-life while supporting healthier food options.
Committed to responsibility
Since 1908, we've fostered a culture of responsibility, loyalty, and respect, celebrating our colleagues, families, and communities. Our ambition drives responsible sourcing, reduced energy consumption, and CO2 emissions. We address societal challenges such as food waste and safety and offer RSPO SG-certified emulsifiers.
Beyond food
Our emulsifiers also serve personal care and polymer markets, providing safe, sustainable alternatives to conventional additives. They enhance food packaging and help reduce food waste.
Owned by the Schou Foundation, we have more than 800 colleagues across 20 countries and six factories on four continents.
Join us in shaping the future of plant-based emulsifiers at Palsgaard.
